Following a recent discussion which delved into the relative merits of Marketing, PR and Branding I was reminded of the Brilliant graphic created by Stephen Wildish illustrating how the various combinations of Flour, Milk and Eggs create different dishes.
Experts in Marketing or PR will often big-up their own talents and skill-sets and both can be guilty of demoting ‘Branding’ to an afterthought or just part of the design and production process. I’d suggest that all three elements have equal merit and importance in delivering the ultimate goal: Sales!
I’m sure some will disagree with the ‘side dishes’ but anyone losing focus on the end goal will also miss out on valuable sales.
